How to Buy Crypto (P2P)

Browse real sellers, pick a rate that works for you, and buy crypto with Naira — directly, safely, and fast.

What is P2P buying? You're buying crypto directly from another real person — not a company or exchange. Kynettic connects you with verified sellers and holds the crypto safely in escrow (a secure holding) until you've paid, protecting both sides.

Go to the P2P page and open the Buy tab

Tap P2P in the bottom navigation. At the top, make sure the Buy tab is selected. You'll see a list of sellers offering crypto for Naira.

You can browse ads without being verified — but you'll need verification to actually place an order.

Read a seller's ad — here's what each part means

Each card in the list is one seller's offer. Here's an example of what you'll see:

Limits (₦5,000 – ₦200,000) — You must spend at least ₦5,000 and no more than ₦200,000 in a single order.

Rating / Trades (4.9 · 312) — The seller's track record. More trades + higher rating = safer choice.

Tip: Compare a few ads before picking. Some sellers have slightly better rates or faster response times. A seller with 300+ completed trades and a 4.8+ rating is generally very reliable.

Tap "Buy" and enter your order amount

Tap the Buy button on the ad you've chosen. Enter either the amount of Naira you want to spend or the amount of crypto you want to receive — the page calculates the other automatically.

How the calculation works

Naira You Pay ÷ Seller's Rate = Crypto You Receive

Taker fee (charged by Kynettic) is deducted from the crypto amount

Example — Buying USDT from the ad above

Seller's rate₦1,650 per USDT

You want to spend₦50,000

USDT before fee50,000 ÷ 1,650 = 30.30 USDT

Taker fee (e.g. 1%)−0.30 USDT

USDT you receive≈ 30.00 USDT

Naira you transfer to seller₦50,000 (full amount)

How escrow protects you — understand before you pay

The moment you place your order, Kynettic automatically locks the seller's crypto in escrow. This means:

The seller's crypto is frozen — they can't sell it to someone else
The seller can't run off with your money — they only get paid once you confirm you've received the crypto
You're fully protected throughout the entire trade

Time limit: Every order has a countdown timer. If you don't pay within the time shown, the order is automatically cancelled and the seller's crypto is released back to them.

Make the bank transfer and confirm payment

Open your banking app and transfer the exact amount to the seller's bank details shown on the order screen. Then come back to Kynettic and tap "I've Paid" to notify the seller.

Wait for the seller to confirm — then you're done

The seller checks their bank, confirms the payment, and the crypto is released to your wallet automatically. You'll get a notification when it arrives.

Crypto received!

The whole process — order to crypto in your wallet — usually takes under 15 minutes. You can check your wallet balance immediately to confirm.

Seller not responding or won't release? Tap Raise Dispute on the order page. Kynettic's support team will step in, review the payment proof, and resolve it in your favor if you paid correctly.
