How to Post a P2P Ad

Create your own buy or sell listing β€” set your price, your limits, and your rules. This guide explains every single option so you know exactly what you're doing.

⏱ 5 min read Verification required Detailed guide
What is a P2P ad? Instead of responding to someone else's offer, you create your own listing. You decide the price, how much you want to trade, and who can respond. Other users then come to you.

1

Open the Post Ad screen

Go to P2P in the bottom navigation, then tap the Post Ad button (usually a pencil or + icon at the top of the page).

Choose: "I want to Buy" or "I want to Sell"

This is the most important choice β€” it defines your role in the trade:

  • Buy β€” You're posting to attract sellers. You'll pay Naira and receive crypto.
  • Sell β€” You're posting to attract buyers. You'll give crypto and receive Naira.

Select the Coin and Currency

Pick which cryptocurrency this ad is for (e.g., USDT, BTC, ETH) and which fiat currency will be used for payment (e.g., NGN).

Currently supported fiat: Nigerian Naira (NGN). More currencies may be added in the future.

Understand Maker and Taker Fees

Before you set a price, know how fees work. There are two types β€” each charged to a different party:

Fee TypeWho pays it?When?
Maker feeYou (the ad creator)Deducted from your side when a trade completes
Taker feeThe person responding to your adDeducted from their side when the trade completes
Example β€” Sell Ad for USDT
Your sale100 USDT
Maker fee (e.g. 0.5%)βˆ’0.5 USDT (from you)
Buyer receives~99.5 USDT (minus their taker fee)

The exact fee percentages are shown on the form (e.g., "Maker fee: 0.5% Β· Taker fee: 1%"). These are set by Kynettic and may change.

Set your Price β€” Fixed vs Relative

This is where things get interesting. You have two ways to price your ad:

Fixed Price

You type a specific number. Your price stays the same no matter what the market does.

Relative Price

Your price automatically moves up or down with the market by an amount you set.

Fixed Price β€” How it works

You enter a price in NGN. That's it. If you set ₦1,620/USDT and the market moves to ₦1,700, your ad still shows ₦1,620 until you manually update it.

Fixed Price Example
You set₦1,620 per USDT
Market moves to₦1,700 per USDT
Your ad still shows₦1,620 per USDT
ResultAd becomes cheaper than market β€” fills faster

Relative Price β€” How it works

You don't type a final price. Instead you type an offset amount (how many Naira above or below the live market reference price you want to go) and pick + or βˆ’.

Formula
Your Price = Reference Price Β± Your Offset
Reference price = live market rate fetched automatically by Kynettic
Relative Price Example (Sell ad, +₦50 offset)
Reference price right now₦1,600 / USDT
Your offset+ ₦50
Your effective rate₦1,650 / USDT
Tomorrow, reference moves to₦1,700 / USDT
Your rate auto-updates to₦1,750 / USDT
Relative Price Example (Buy ad, βˆ’β‚¦30 offset)
Reference price₦1,600 / USDT
Your offsetβˆ’ ₦30
Your effective buy rate₦1,570 / USDT
You attract sellers willing to sell below marketSaves you ₦30/USDT
Pro tip: Relative pricing is great for active traders β€” your ad never goes stale. Fixed pricing is great when you want a guaranteed rate and don't want surprises.

This toggle controls how your wallet balance is used when orders come in.

Rollover OFF (default)
